I wanted to share on my blog the full layout that I did for the Spellbinders™ Blog hop.  There have been some amazing projects created!  Kazan’s project shows these dies in all their glory.  There is a sweet bird shape that I have hidden under my flower that looks exquisite on a card or gift bag.  I love all the new Spellbinders dies and can’t wait to have some time to create more things.  You can see the entire new collection on their blog.

I have been so sick for over a week now.  I finally went to the doctor today and got on some meds.  Arte and I leave tomorrow for our trip and my parents will be at the house watching the kids, and the dogs…and the cat…and the fish…and the remodel!  It’s going to be quite chaotic but it’ll be fun to come back to some of the work finished up.  They are painting my new room as I type this.  I can’t wait to go take a peek!

Congratulations Amanda!

Amanda's card

Amanda, from the Spellbinders office, has just delivered a precious baby girl!  We made her some cards to welcome the sweet little one but of course, at the time we weren’t sure if it was a boy or girl.  Here is the announcement on the Spellbinders Blog along with some other great baby cards and gorgeous photo of the new little one!  We wish you and your sweet Nevaeh many blessings, Amanda!

There is also an announcement about a Summer Surprise Party that you are not going to want to miss!  More new die templates that are going to knock your socks off!

On the home front, I’m starting to get used to our plastic wall that is dividing us from the newly built addition.  They are nearly done with the texturing and I know the plastic will come down soon.  Hmmm…I just might miss the look of my plastic wall!  …Nah!

Have a super day and thanks for checkin’ in!

Flourishes Blog Hop

Thank God 2 copy

We don’t need to tell you that tags and labels are two of the trendiest items to hit the card making market in a long time! And, to help you add style and pizzazz to your creations, Flourishes has teamed up with Spellbinders Paper Arts to make sure you have the perfect set of stamps to match a darling set of tag style dies. Wonderfully whimsical and reminiscent of Grandma’s calico prints, Flourishes  “charming” set offers three labels that coordinate perfectly with Spellbinders Grommet Tags (S4-322).

Designed by Becky Fleck, you'll also find 6 beautiful sentiments and 4 accent stamps to dress up your labels! Pair that with Flourishes Country Charm Borders and you have the perfect set to make darling note cards in minutes. Flourishes coordinating Country Charm Borders set features five border strips that match the labels set to a tee. What fun!

Because Flourishes knew this set was a match made in heaven with Spellbinder's Grommet Tags,  both design teams are joining forces for a fun-filled show and tell blog hop! Make sure to hop on over and see....

I designed my card with Pink Paislee and Glitz pattern paper.  After stamping my Country Charm Flourish stamp, I used S4-322 Spellbinders Grommet Tags to cut t out.  After distressing my papers and sewing them together, I embelllished with trim and Want2Scrap pearls.

Have fun on the hop!  I know you will find an enormous amount of inspiration from these very talented gals!

a girl can never have too many flowers

Layout

Guess what I got in the mail this past week?  Spellbinder die templates….LOTS of them!  For the record, I don’t think a girl can ever have too many die templates either!  Hey…at least they are flat and easy to store, right?  Well, among my new stash was the S4-312 Blossom Three set and I have been quite anxious to try this one out!  I loved designing this layout.

Close-up-of-flowers-web

The journaling on this one says:  No Greater Gift….than Family.  I’ve always felt blessed to have an amazing family but some days I am overwhelmed by God’s goodness to me.  Why do I deserve such an amazing husband and such fantastic kids.  Then I remember, I don’t ‘deserve’ it.  I am just blessed by God.  So truly grateful.

We’ve been having some super fun, 'everyday’ family moments and times together lately.  It sure makes up for those really, really hard days (we have those on occasion too!)

There are instructions on how to create this layout on the Spellbinders Blog.

As far as the other new dies….hmmmm….can’t tell you too much about them quite yet.  I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot of these Blossom Three die templates in the next little bit!

So glad you stopped by!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Baby ensamble bord

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!  I hope you are getting to be creative in your own way today.  If you have a baby shower coming up I wanted to share a few ideas that I created for the Spellbinders™ Nestabilities Basics and Beyond book.  It seems like we are upon the season of a lot of babies being born!  LOL

Spellbinders™ Nestabilities® Basics & Beyond

There lots of other great ideas in this book about projects using Nestabilities.

I wouldn’t want to post on NSD without a little ‘scrappy’ inspiration so here is a mini album I’ve been working on for….um….longer than I can remember.  Do you have any projects like that?  I challenge you to finish them up!  I should say I challenge my self because I have way too many.

mini

This is a fun one because I cut out all the pages with my Labels Eight die template and then I did the same with the photos and layered them to the right side of the page.  It’s a super fun way to do an album.

The count down is on until our new addition is ready.  Can’t wait!  I will be going through all my stuff and doing a lot of ‘purging.’  Definitely feel a give-away coming on!  I probably won’t be able to move into my new room for a few more weeks.  Mudding/taping, dry wall, paint, carpet……..it’s nearly time!!!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Mother’s Day Gift Bag

M day bag

I have another Mother’s Day project to share! This is a gift bag I made that has been published in Paper Crafts Magazine May/June issue. It’s a fantastic issue!

I’m sure they will be showing some sneaks on the Paper Crafts Connection blog. Right now on their blog, you can read about their Card Creations Vol. 9. I have a a card in that one as well. It’s been a fun week to get my magazines in the mail and a happy email from them, requesting more. Thank you Paper Crafts!

I used Spellbinders Labels Sixteen and Ribbon Tags Trio Two along with Restoration Pattern Paper by Crate Paper to design this bag. The tag has two different sentiments on it. The ‘Love You’ is a Waltzing Mouse stamp from the Seasons of Love set and the ‘Mom’ is a Gina K Designs stamp from Nina Brackets Lovely Shelf set.

Some other fun news is that I am a featured member at Inspire Me which is the Webster’s Pages site. Just yesterday, I got some new Webster’s Pages supplies from i{heart}paper.com and it got me so excited to create some things and then I got an email saying I was being featured. What timing!

We just got back from celebrating my son’s 12th birthday in Portland. Wow. I can’t believe that he will be a teenager next year! He really, really wants to learn how to play the base guitar so we surprised him with one for his birthday and boy was he surprised!!

I wanted to mention that since I had a new blog make-over the ‘email update’ feature was somehow removed. I added a new one to the side bar so if you are wanting to receive email updates on new posts, you can add your email addy their.

I hope you had a great weekend! Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
