Cloud 9 surprise box!

This is a fun little surprise box that I made for my kiddos! My friend Amber found it on someone's blog and then I got directions to make it. It turned out pretty cute and was easy to make. I used this yummy Sorbet line from Cloud 9 and embellished it with some fun raindots! You take the lid off and open it up to find these four drawers. The kids love it and have already handled it so much. It is still strong and sturdy though!

More of CHA

So, here is a picture of the Piggy Tales owners and team. They are such fantastic people to work for this past week. The third picture is of me, Trina (DT coordinator), Janice and then Tracie who is also on the design team. She traveled from Europe with her family and joined us at CHA. It was so fun getting to know her as well! It was also really neat learning more about Piggy Tale products and how it all came together. The reaction to Piggy Tales going 'green' with all recycled paper and organic ink was very positive. I seriously can't believe that I don't have any photos to share of their fun new products but I guess I knew I'd eventually be getting some of my own so I didn't take a photo! There was LOTS and LOTS of new fun things to see at the show. I really enjoyed watching Tim Holtz come up with his amazing creations and 'play' with all his fun stuff. These are just some snapshots of a very 'few' things that caught my eye.

Back from CHA!!

I am officially one full day back from CHA! What a fun and packed week that was. There is so very much I have to say about it but for now, I need to focus on the kiddos who I neglected for a week!! So, I decided to put together a quick, fun slides show just so some of you could view the photos I took. Most of these are people photos. The first of all the Fiskars fun we had. THere are some shots of May and Stephanie recieving their bracelets. You'll also see some shots of the Piggy Tales team and myself. Then of course pictures of me and Janice who I roomed with and had a BLAST with and photos of all the other online pals I finally got to meet up with. What fun!

And a bit of news!!

The layout bellow called 'LOOK Mom, no hands!' Was picked up for publication by Scrapbook Trends! I'm so excited! I also got, in the mail, my first three magazines of seeing my work in print. That was so very fun! Scrapbook Trens December has my clear mini Album, the WEDDING book that they put out has the layout with Pete and Liz in it and CARDS January has a two page spread of the flocked card that I did for Fiskars. Now Scrapbook Trends has just released a new book called Embellish it and I have a layout in that one that I can't wait to see in print.

Piggy Tale Slide Album and storage give away!

How would you love to win one of these awesome storage units!! I wish I could say that I'm giving one away but I'm not. I do have two of them though and they are sooooo incredibly helpful. I just LOVE mine. Here is where you can enter every day at a chance to win one of your own. Good luck! Too bad Feb. is so busy for me. I'd love to try and win. I actually truly could use a third one. Crazy, eh?
And of course, I had to scrap all those fun Christmas photos. I truly only have about 50 more photos of the whole days event! Oh well. At least this catches a glance of our holiday season and will hopefully preserve some of the memories made. If you haven't seen one of these Piggy Tales albums yet, the little rectangles have a slider on them where you slide it open and can see either a hidden photo or hidden journaling. Kinda fun!

Staying warm and trying to stay calm!!!

Well, I hardly ever do this but I talked myself into buying myself a present. I figured in the long run, we could really save on the heating bill. So, really it was a savings. Hee hee. Lucky me, it arrived on our door step the day we got home from the snow. An electric blanket!!! I can't EVEN believe how wonderful it is. Everynight Arte gets into bed and says... "Ah... I feel so rich... and in luxury... why didn't we do this before?' Seriously. If I had only known. If you don't own one and are climbing into a cold stone brick everynight....I'm telling ya... it's worth EVERY penny!

The part about staying calm is that I can hardly contain my EXCITEMENT!!! Less than 5 days away I'm leaving for CHA!!!!!! I feel so blessed! Yet... it gets even better. I will be meeting up with my buddy Janice. Yay!!! We are going to have a crazy fun time. Totally can't wait.

My Piggy Tale album is done (along with LOTS of other layouts that I can't show:( but I will upload the album soon!

So much to blog about... so little time!

This week preparing for my trip to CHA is very jam packed! I am getting my Piggy Tale album done(which I will post later), getting my Fiskars tags and PT tag ready, getting my HOF entries ready, getting my application/resume for Fiskars ready, and getting a Charity crop and training session put together! That just seems like a lot of stuff all due at the same time but at the end of this week, when I take off in the airplane, I will be so pleased to have it done.

Designing some tags for Fiskars has been so much fun. They are going to be passed out at CHA as RAC's (Random Acts of Crafting). The Fiskateers are on mission to be spreading the Fiskars love and I'm so happy to be apart of it. Posted here are just a few that I took a photo of before mailing them off.

So, during this busy week, my dear friend Cheryl sent me a RAK that I had won during a live chat. I was just about to send off a Valentine gift and card to someone and here showed up these cuter than ever stams! It was perfect for the 'inside' of the card. Thank you Cheryl for such a wonderful RAK! I would post a photo of the card but it's being pub'd in Ready-set-create this month. But I will show you the inside and the cute stuff Cheryl sent me! The fun package that was sooooo welcomed during this crazy, crafting time also included a star squeeze punch and some scissors. Too much fun!
