Happy Memorial Day!

I created this layout using mostly My Little Yellow Bycicle products. This is my sweet son. I have to say, he truly is extreme about some things. In a good way! For instance, he and I went on a run the other day. We decided to try out a loop that goes by the ocean. We had no idea that it was 6.8 miles. I'm sure he could have run the entire way and kept on going. He totally surprised me! I had to walk the last to miles. LOL I should have remembered that he runs nearly every day at school, but all I could think was that 'he's just a kid!' There is definitely some races in his future. He wants to work up to 10 miles. Yikes! Pray he finds another running partner. I will never survive! LOL

On another note, I just want to thank God for the amazing country we live in and for all the soldiers who are and who have sacrificed so very much for our freedom.

Happy Memorial Day my friends!

I really can’t believe it’s been this long since I’ve posted.  I am so sorry for neglecting my blog!  I have had so very much going on that it’s just had to take a back seat.  As matter of fact,  I’ve got some really big things going on in my personal life but nothing that I can share quite yet (and no…I’m not expecting!)

That being said,  I can’t believe summer is just around the corner and seeing photos like this one makes me so excited for it!  This is a layout I did for Spellbinders of me and my niece last summer.  I’m so longing for those hot summer days!

It’ll be awhile before experiencing them here but I’ll be else where soon soaking up some rays and visiting with some old collage friends.  I can’t wait to see everyone at Convention!  I am also very excited to have my parents arriving tomorrow from Canada!  Yay!  So very much going on.  I love my moments that I get to create and just take a bit of time to relax and reflect.

Thanks so much for not giving up on me!  I’m back!  LOL

This weekend we had a special little tea for just the ‘girls'.  It was so fun.  Our guest was an expert in plants and flowers so afterwards, they went outside and ground up fragrant flowers to make perfume.  Then they put it fancy bottles to sell.  Too cute.

Blessings on you as you go your way today!

CPS MM card

Supplies:  Mint Motif (Very Square, Very Square Sentiments,) Die Template Cardstock – Worldwin, Pattern Paper – Pink Paislee (365 Degrees),  Flower centers – Prima Marketing, Ink – Ranger, Black Pearls – Kaiser Krafts

Here is what the sketch looks like:

I decided to take this fun little sentiment and design a card based of the challenge this week at Card Positioning Systems.  It’s a great sketch that can be kept simple or done with more detail as some of the designers have done.  CPS MM card zoom

I added some ultra fine glitter to some of the dots in the center of this Very Square stamped image.  It’s one way to add a bit of color and and a bit of sparkle!  These stamps sets are now on sale at i{heart}papers.

Thanks for takin’ a look!  It’s a day full of soccer games, fishing derby and tea parties for us!

June gets really busy for us with birthdays, graduation, and weddings so I like to get a jump start on Father’s Day.  This is a little box full of love that I created for the ‘Dad’ of our house hold.  It’s a fun size and perfect for rolling up little notes of affection and sticking them in or filling it up with goodies or even coupons such as… ‘I’ll wash your car,’ or ‘I’ll bring you coffee in bed.’ ect.

With so many different designs in these stamps, it makes them so versatile from cutsie to classy, and masculine to boyish.  There are 6 different images to be exact and each set is selling for $10.   Very square sentiment set fits has 11 different sayings and they all fit perfectly in the squares.  LOVE it!

The Very Square stamp set and the Very Square Sentiments set are available at i{heart}papers

I’m so glad you stopped by today.  If you’d like some more inspiration from the Mint Motif  Design Team they will each have a reveal up on their blog today.

Good Monday Morning!

It's-Your-Day

I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.  We spent Sunday with my husband’s family and it was such a fun time!

I’m off to work in a but wanted to show you how quick you could make a card if you’re in a pinch. I of really enjoy making cards with lots of details, stitching and layered elements but sometimes the simple ones turn out to be the most fun!  This card, “It’s Your Day'’ is one that I created in less then a minute.  All it is, is one piece of pattern paper cut to fit on the card and then the stickers added to created the sentiment.  How cute is that?  The pattern paper is Webster’s Pages and it’s from the collection Garden Gala (Tea Time.)

Here’s another card I created using Pink Paislee’s Queen Bee.

 Thanks!-wb

Mint Motif Sneak Peek!!

May 7 Thank you so very Much

Supplies: Stamps – Mint Motif (Very Square, Very Square Sentiments - AVAILABLE at iheartpapers.com starting May 14th;) Pattern Paper – Pink Paislee (Bayberry Cottage;) Die Templates: Spellbinders™ S4-162 Labels Two, S4-191 Dahlia; Ink – Staz On, Close to My Heart, Flower Center – Prima Marketing

Thank you so very much close up May 7

I can finally share this most exciting news that I’ve been keeping secret for too long!! My sweet friend and amazing paper crafter, Kimberly Crawford has started her own stamp line called ……….(drum roll please!)

Mint Motif logo

Kimberly has designed the most fabulous stamps for the debut of Mint Motif that will be sold beginning Friday May 14th, exclusively at i{heart}papers.com.

What’s even more exciting is that I got to be one of the lucky few who has had a chance to create with them and come up with some very cool projects! The first of many is this card with this clever sentiment ‘Thank you so very much.’ There are two new stamps sets being released called Very Square and Very Square Sentiments. How cute is that? What I love about the sentiment stamps is that they are vertical. I have not seen that in a stamp set…ever. I just think it’s so eye catching and oh, so fun!

The second set is square backgrounds that combined with the perfect ink can make the most amazing background ‘paper look.’ On my card the largest Spellbinders Label Two die template shape is stamped with brown ink and the second Labels Two die is stamped with a different background (the dots) using a green ink. The smallest die shape has the sentiment on it and is actually pattern paper. And see that pop of pink in the flower? That’s a third background stamp that I used by stamping and then cut and embossing it. For the rest of the card, I used Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage pattern paper.

I am honored to be among five other paper crafters who are apart of the Mint Motif Design Team and they have also created some fabulous ‘peeks!’

And just when you think it can’t get any better than that….

it does!

Kimberly will be drawing names from the comments left on each blog and that person will win their very own stamp set! You’re gonna love them!

Webster’s Pages Card

I-love-you-wb

Loving the bloomers!!  Webster’s Pages have come out with the most amazing bloomers for their trim.  I have to literally try very hard not to put them on every project I do!  On this care I used one of their large stickers for the frame and also for the sentiments and brackets.  The stars I cut out with with my Spellbinders™ die template.  Then I inked the paper to match glitter and and added lots and lots of glitter.  Fun!  These stars are new for me and I am having a lot of fun using them on all sorts of projects.

This weekend was sooo very amazing.    The tea turned out just wonderful and so many ladies were able attend.   Then on Sunday, we had such a powerful Sunday morning service.  There were quite a few young adults who were water baptized and these young men were just full of the goodness of God.  They were (everyone was) so excited about what God was doing in their lives and the presence of God was so strong and the worship time so powerful.  I was just moved to tears as I was trying desperately to keep playing on the keyboard.  Really….we didn’t need any music.  Everyone was singing their hearts out and it was just beautiful.  I know that people left changed.  That’s what I love about the Lord.  He loves us to much to leave us just the way we are so he gentle helps us along the way.Ladies tea 2

As if we hadn’t enough excitement for one weekend, there was still a birthday party to come!  And this boy was EXTATIC!!  Actually, I’m not sure who was more excited about his present…him or his lil’ sister or instantly informed me that she would be sneaking it out of his room while he was at school!!  LOLIMG_7046

It was so fun to have lots of my son’s friends all together.  It just made me think…wow….one day this could make a very fun youth group and I know that is just around the corner.   Amazing!

I have some very fun news to share on Friday.  Oh, the count down has been hard but I’ve managed to bite my tongue.

See ya then!

Webster’s Pages Guest Designer!!

Miss you

Happy Scrapbooking Day!  Because It’s May 1st, I finally can shout it from the mountain tops!  This month I have the honor of being Webster’s Pages Guest Designer.  I seriously love their paper and had so much fun creating.  The lines that I used were Life’s Portrait and Garden Gala.

The card above is one I did using my Spellbinders™ Blossom Two die.  The layout I did is of my d when we went to Disneyland this past May.  Wow….a year ago.  Boy, time flies!  LOL
