Valentines Day Card

Thank you for all your sweet comments.  They truly mean so much to me!  The die template GIVE-AWAY is still open in the post below!

Fourteen days until Sweetheart day!!!  I'm gettin' ready!  How about you?  I am soooo loving this new oval from Spellbinders™!  It is called 'Floral Ovals' and you can cut out the center to make a gorgeous 3D frame as I did on this Valentine's Day card.  The full tutorial is on the Spellbinders blog today.  Another one of my favorites of the new release is the Classic Decorative Inserts Two.  That's the pretty scallop under the oval.

I am also loving this rose stamp from JustRite stampers; I love roses!  I colored it with Copic markers and added a bit of glitter (shocking...I know.)  : )

And of course, I must say that this Bitty Blossom is right at the top of faves for me as well.  It's perfect for the center of bows or for a nice cluster on your card, layout or altered piece.

Supplies:  Spellbinders M-Bossabilities -  Imperial; Spellbinders Die Templates -  Classic Decorative Inserts Two, Floral Ovals, Classic Heart, Bitty Blossoms, Classic Ovals LG, Ribbon Banners; JustRite Stampers - Shabby Music Background, Happy Everything, With Sympathy; Want2Scrap Pearls; My Mind's Eye™ Lost and Found Pattern Paper (Home Sweet Home); SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES BY 3L™ 3D Foam Squares, EZ Tape Runner; Scor-Pal® Scor-Tape; Clearsnap Colorbox Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink, Glue Gloss; Pin - Maya Road; Markers - Copic; Cardstock - Papertrey Ink

I hope these new products are inspiring you to make something beautiful!  I know that they sure are inspiring me!  I'll be back soon with more eye candy!  Thanks for stopping by!

New Spellbinders™ Dies and a Give-Away!

Hey everyone!  CHA has opened their doors as of yesterday and crafters from all around the world are gathered to find out what the latest and greats new products are!  While I have attended the last 6 years, this year I am watching all the excitement from home.  Have to be honest...that's a little bit hard for me!  But, I am in my cozies and I am getting to craft up a storm with some fab new products.  Couldn't do that if I was in Cali now could I?  He he.

I've been excited to show everyone this new butterfly die template from Spellbinders™ because it's a special one.  Ya see, I met this sweet and charismatic girl named Elena in Texas about five years ago.  She was on a mission to use her scrapbooking passion for a great cause.  I've watched her as she grew and developed Scrapbook Royalty to raise money for all sorts of fantastic causes.  With a lot of hard work and many hands, it has become Charity Wings, a full blown Non-Profit organization.  Well, Spellbinders™ is excited to help support the Charity Wings organization through the creation of the wonderful "Wings of Hope" die template collection. This is such a gorgeous set and can be used for so many different things!

I framed my butterfly with another new favorite called 'Floral Ovals.'  I'll have a post with another project using this one tomorrow.  The res of my card was made with cardstock and Chocolate pattern paper by SEI.  The pink pearls are from Want2Scrap.

Elena's giving heart has been an inspiration to me as I've seen her over the years.  So, I thought it would be neat to help celebrate this new set and this week of CHA with a GIVE-AWAY!!!

I have this brand new, in package Labels Twenty-Two die set ready to send to one lucky reader!!  You will have until Friday, midnight PST to comment on this post.  Then over the weekend I will select a winner.

Do you want to win this Labels Twenty-Two set?

Happy crafting everyone and good luck!

EL-002 Regal

I'm excited to share with you how I put together my card that combined these two products to make this beautiful presentation.

First of all, I adhered a 1" strip of pattern paper 1/2" from the top and bottom of the card.  Then I layered a small strip of green cardstock over it.

Next, I lined up my Classic Triple Scallop edgeabilities and taped it with repositional tape on to my cardstock.

After cutting/embossing it in my Grand Calibur Machine I trimmed the straight edge to be 1" wide.  Then I adhered that over top of the cardstock strip.  After cutting a 4 x 5" rectangle from coordinating pattern paper, I layered it in the center of the card.  Over the top seam, I added a line of pearls.

To create a background for the cross, I used the same green cardstock and placed a 4 1/2 x 5" it inside the Regal M-Bossabilities folder.  Then I used Grand Ovals to cut/emboss an oval and adhered it to the center of my card using foam squares.

I cut/embossed the cross out of white cardstock and adhered it using a glue pen.

For the center of the cross, I cut/embossed a Blossoms Three #1 (#1 being the smallest) and inked the edges.  Then I snipped 1/4" toward the center on each blossom and used my fingers to scrunch it up.  After adding a pearl to the center, I adhered it to the center of the cross using a foam square.

Lastly, I tied a cream bow around the bottom of the pattern paper.  This card could be used for Easter, a baptism or many other occasions.  I decided to leave it blank so I could fill in the occasion when I need it!

I love that there are many different kinds of crosses in this set.  By layering three different crosses from this same set, I created this Faith journal to record answered prayers.  There's nothing quite like a pretty journal to write in!

Hi friends!  I have a bright and cheery card to share with you on this cold, blustery day!  I totally thought we woke up to snow but it was just some serious frost.  No snow this year although it definitely feels cold enough for it!

Yellow is definitely a favorite color of mine right now.  Maybe I'm missing the sun...just a little?  I shared the stenciling technique that I used on this card on the Spellbinders Blog yesterday.  There is a full tutorial on how I put it all together. And, CARDS Magazine shared this card on their Facebook page yesterday.  That was a fun surprise!

Speaking of surprises, I know Christmas is over but I was excited to get this tag back in the mail with my copies of Create: Holidays from Northridge Media.  I had totally forgot that it was even being published so that was a super treat for me!  Now, I could save this for next year....or turn into another thank you card.  Ha!  I still have more of those I need to write from Christmas.

Another exciting box that arrived yesterday was my first ever Studio Calico kit.  *swoon*  I just might be hooked.  To say I was impressed is a complete understatement.  I can't wait to dive into it! There are a few blues that I'm anxious to try and create with.  Blue is the one color that I probably use the least in my paper crafting but I want to stretch myself.  How about you?  Do you have a color that you don't use much?

Other than that, my scraproom is adorned with projects that I can't share until after CHA...which is just a few short weeks away!  But, the Spellbinders Blog Frenzy starts tomorrow and you will get a peak at so many great new products before the show even opens.  Oh my.  You will be so inspired!

See ya then!

Starting off the New Year with Exciting News!!!

Happy New Year everyone!  I was wanting to get this post up yesterday but we were having too much fun havin' church, playin' and making great memories with good friends!!

I am so, so very excited about this post and 2012!!  I haven't been doing a bunch of crafting lately because I've working on something else that I've been dying to share with you all!!  Eeeaak!  But, I am wanting to get some Thank You cards out for some of the gifts we received so I've managed to put a few together.  Here is one I created with some Webster's Pages yumminess!

Supplies: Paper: Pattern Paper - Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue and WonderFALL 6x6 pads; Cardstock - Bazzill Basics Kraft;   Die templates - Spellbinders Paper Arts; Pearls - Want2Scrap;  Bloomer - Webster's Pages;  Trim - Prima Marketing; Ink - Clearsnap;  Stamp - Gina K. Designs

On to my exciting news!!  I'm squealing with delight!  Can you hear me?  LOL  I've been working this for the past week and thus the slightly neglected blog....sorry!  But, THIS blog is going to get a makeover of it's own very soon.  In the mean time, I've created a new website and blog for Mini Moments Photography.  This has been a dream of mine for quite some time.  I had a sliver (just a well bit! he he) of help from my sweeter than sweet hubby...thank you Hon!!

So, I'm pleased to introduce you to....

Now I will have a home for my paper crafts and a home for all my Photography.  Thanks for letting me share in my excitement!  I haven't finished setting up the actually blog yet...that should happen in the next day or so.  I just couldn't wait any longer!

I hope and pray your 2012 is blessed beyond anything you could ask or imagine.
