Texas...here we come!!

I'm so excited! I'm heading back to Texas with Arte for a Pastor's convention. We'll be gone all weekend so I won't be bloggin much. My parent's will be here with the kids. Yay! I'm looking forward to the hot weather, seeing old friends, spending 'alone' time with my hubby and of course being filled up and encouraged in my faith and in our call to ministry.

Here are a few finished projects that I did for Triple the Sketch and for Piggy Tales. By the way...Tripe the Sketch is giving away a THREADING WATER BORDER PUNCH this weekend!!!! If you've been looking for one of these, you might want to check it out!

I also have a funny story about this first layout. It ended up slipping under my deck when I was trying to take a picture. It was really quite a disaster and although I'd love to share all the ridiculous details, I might be leaving for Texas with no clothes if I don't go get packing!

So, short story is...Arte (my sweet, sweet, dear husband) tried to take a board of and get it but it just wasn't working. He even broke one of his tools! Luckily my great friend Jana came to my rescue by 'thinking outside the box!' (sometimes ya just gotta do that!) I happened to believe it was a miracle that we got it back!! Good thing to because it was DUE to be turned in! LOL!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!

Sketch goodness =) *Triple the Sketch*

I CANNOT believe that it has been well over a week since I blogged. The crazy warm weather swooped me off my feet and took me outside for a good portion of that. I haven't done any crafting either. Mostly because my stuff is such a mess and I just need so badly to organized! Who wants to do that when the beach is calling your name??? Honestly, in the 7 years that we have lived here on the Oregon Coast it has NEVER gotten even close to 97 degrees!!!!!!! Totally unbelievable for around here. Our schools don't even have air conditioning. It was CRAZY!!

Anyway, even though I haven't actually been working on anything this week, I did have some things done for Triple the Sketch that I wanted to share. If you need some more inspiration, you can find more sketches and great projects here.

This is what I did for sketch #7

A bit of excitement.

Although I was still feeling sick during NSD and I didn't get to join any 'scrappy' events, I did finish a few online challenges. So, even though this was the looooooongest most boring week of my life as I lay in bed sick, it ended with quite a few things taking place!

On Friday, I got my 3rd Happy box. 3 in THREE weeks!!! It's been like Christmas around here! So, every time I get published, not only do they send 2 copies of the fabulous magazine, they also send a bunch of wonderful goodies. I blogged earlier about the Embellish one that I got. Next came CARDS and now I just got Scrapbook Trends May. Soooo very fun. I just had to share:

When I got the box with this magazine in it, I was just thrilled. It's a two page spread because it begins a new section in the book. It was quite a moment for me, to open it up and see my two worlds of passions colliding together.

That was a bit of 'on the side' excitment over the last few weeks. Nice lil' 'pick me up' when I was feeling so aweful!

Another cool thing that we got to do on Saturday was watch A.J. participate in his first run ever! Then we left on Sunday and drove to Washington for a time of celebration. Can't wait to post some photos of both of those. I will try to do that in the next day or so.

For now, I need to finish unpacking!

Hope you all had a wonderful NSD!!
