Spellbinders™ Presto Punch

Presto-Punch-High-Res

Check out this beauty!! The exciting news is finally out and I’m thrilled to be able to tell you about this new system from Spellbinders™ Paper Arts. I had such a blast demoing this at CHA. At the press of a button, you can now have your shape punched out for you! The punch template also allow you to emboss and stencil! There are quite a few different sets of these very cute punch templates that will be available. AND two font sets! Yay!!

I can’t even tell you how much fun it was to play…ehem…work with the other Design Team members in the booth. Thank you so much to Spellbinders™ for making it possible. It was the first time that I was able to get to use a lot of the new release die templates and when you have that much at your fingertips….the mojo just starts running wild! (so do some of the DT members….not mentioning any names…quite yet!) LOL

I did however get to work with one of my favorite new die templates before the show for the Surprise Party reveal that happened in the beginning of January. I revealed the Big Scalloped Border Grand Die Template and was able to use it on these jars by wrapping them around to add a fun scallop look. I also used the new Big Scallop Circle Die Templates to frame the tag. Then I used my Justrite stamps to personalize the top and finished off with a little card.

Thanks so much for coming by to hear the news of the latest and greatest! I have to tell you quick that although I wasn’t able to visit that many booths, I do have a a few fun things to give away. I will post that in the next day or two. I was also to sick to even think about bringing my camera so I don’t have any photos to show you….so sorry! But, I can tell you that some of my favorite finds were Maya Road ‘Sew Cute’ mini chipboard set. **gasp** LOVE the lil’ mini sewing machine and dress form! Of course, all their new trinket flowers were fabulous as well! Pink Paislee also had some very cool Artisan Elements and fun Houndstooth alphies. All of GCDStudios papers were of course, better than ever irl.

I pray your weekend is blessed!

Collage Press Design Day “S0ar”

Soar

Soar zoom

Journaling:  Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.  Isaiah 40:31

It’s my design day on the Collage Press blog and I get to show off the gorgeous Knave of Hearts Papers.   Actually while I’ve been preparing for CHA and then gone on my trip, many of the designers have been sharing their projects on the blog.  You can find the cutest owl card ever designed by Roree.  Be sure to check it out if you have a chance!

When I saw this photo of my daughter ‘soaring’ up high on the swing, it made me think of my favorite Bible verse.  It’s a special time her in life where she asking more and wanting to learn more.  With all that is going on in our world, I want to point her in a direction of hope.  That’s what inspired me to create this layout!

I felt like the Knave of Hearts line with the deep rich colors really matched the photo but also love to add a ‘pop’ of color so I choose to throw another line in their for added interest.

Speaking of CHA….wow!  What a trip.  I was hit hard with Strep several days before hand and spent quite a bit of time in bed trying to recover before leaving.  Despite the fact, the first part of my CHA experience, I was still quite ill and in a bit of haze!

BUT!  I do have some very exciting things to tell you about and share with you that happened at the show.  Spellbinders Paper Arts booth was ‘rockin’ with some ‘cutting edge’ (no pun intended he he) new product!   Now that I have fully recovered…we will be back to our regular program.  ; )  I hope to blog about all my ‘happenings’ in the next day or two.  For now, it’s unpack and hit the ground running with basketball games and piano lessons!

Have a fabulous Friday and thanks for stopping by!

My heart…

0509 JO lo six

Supplies:  Spellbinders™  S4-207 Kaleidoscope Pendant; S4-216 Kaleidoscope Border; S4-014 Timeless Heritage; S4-202 Large Deckled Rectangles, Pattern paper – Collage Press, Stickers – Creative Imaginations, Clearsnap, Colorbox Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk Ink and Smooch Moonlight Pearlized Accent Ink; Creative Impressions, Black Leave Ribbon and Red Ric Rac; Core'dinations, Super Assortment Red Cardstock; 7gypsies, Measurement Brown Gaffer Tape

My heart…. is bursting at the seams!!  This sweeter than ever lil’ girl, surprised me this morning.  Ya see,  her Mama is one of my very, very dear friends and they moved away about 6 months ago.  This morning, before church started, I turned around and there she was giving me a big hug!  My heart melted!  I was so excited to see them and I look forward to visiting them in their new home in Portland on my way to CHA.

This is one of the layouts I created for Spellbinders™ before CHA Summer.  It still makes me smile when I see it!

My heart…. is also bursting with joy because of what I experienced this Sunday and last and many, many other days.  God is so good and He is so faithful.  I’m just amazed at the people who come through the doors of the church who are hurting and broken.  There is nothing quite like watching as Jesus pours His love out on them and reaches His hand out to pick up all the broken pieces.  There are countless miracles happening, big and small and my heart is just full as I experience the goodness of God.

My heart… is also heavy for the people of Haiti.  It may seem strange to talk about God’s goodness in time of such disaster.  My heart just aches for the families and victims of such a terrible storm.  The miracle is that God’s goodness is still evident in times like these.  Through prayer, lives are spared and people are found.  I believe with all my heart that God is bringing a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) to many people who have suffered through this.  And my prayer is that He would continue to comfort them in the very difficult weeks and months ahead of them.  There is no way for us to understand the kind of suffering that is going on.  But, HE understands and He can and will bring good out of this.

It also amazes me how God works through these situations to touch others who have not even been directly involved.  In other words, there could be someone who was ‘stuck’ in their own stuff.  Perhaps a feeling of being on a plateau.  Then something like an urgent circumstance like ‘Haiti’ comes up and they feel compelled to help by going, or giving financially or being a friend to someone who lost a love one.  This unselfish act can pick them right out of that stuck place as they reach out in love.  That’s how our God works and I’m so touched by it.  I’m touched by the many people coming together around the world to reach out to this country in need.

As the days go on, I’m hearing of more and more ways that you can help in the way of giving.  One way that I thought seemed affective was by texting the word ‘Haiti’ to 90999.  Then $10 would be charged to your next phone bill and the funds would be given to the American Red Cross Relieve fund.  I like this way because it’s an amount that a lot of people could manage and it was easy to figure out how to do it.  To read more about it, click here

Of course there will a lot of people who will want to give more and will want to see the money reach Haiti at a much more rapid pace.  I’m sure that if you googled it you would find a lot of options.

If for some reason, you are not apart of an organization or do not have an organization that you know of to give to, I’d like to give you a resource.  The Foursquare Church has organized a Disaster Relief Fund that you can find clicking here, where %100 of your giving will go to Haiti.

In all of this, let us give thanks for the great and free country in which we are so blessed to live in.

My heart… is also full of gratitude for all of you, my friends and family and faithful blog readers.  I so appreciate all the sweet comments and support you have given me.

Blessings on you this Sunday!

GCDStudios Guest Designer!!

Families are Forever

Supplies: Spellbinders™ S7-018 Big Scalloped Border Grand and Spellbinders™S4-233 Labels Nine,) Cardstock – The Paper Company, Pattern Paper – GCDStudios (Melody Ross: Artsy Urban,)Spellbinders Impressabilities (Floral and Stone,) Ink – Clearsnap (Colorbox: Chestnut Roan chalk ink,) Crystals – Prima Marketing, Flower – Maya Road, Die cuts – GCDStudios: Melody Ross (Artsy Urban), Stickers – Jenni Bowlin Studios

The cat is out of the bag and the official announcement has been made! I have been given the privilege of being GCDStudios Guest Designer for the month of January. You can read more about it on their blog here. I was so excited many months back to get the call from Heidi asking if I would accept. There was absolutely no hesitation for me. This company has come out with some of the most fabulous lines and I had the privilege with working with the first Melody Ross line called Artsy Urban. The texture and beauty of this paper is really hard to put into words. It’s soooo much better irl!

Not to mention the ever so anticipated ‘Home Spun Chic’ collection. This has got to be the most fun collection ever. The colors are brilliant and the vintage embellies are to die for.

[Vintage+Audrey.jpg]

This will be the first thing I will be scouting out at CHA!!

Here is another look at the calendar that I created. These are some of the inside pages that I didn’t have a chance to share yet.  This was super fun to create.  The numbers flip to whatever date it is and even though their are 12 photos, you can also flip it to whatever smiley face you choose for that day as well.  Easy peasy thanks to my bind-it-all!  Well…truth be told, I actually did struggle a bit trying to figure out the order.  That machine can be a bit tricky when you are out of practice!   I must start doing more mini albums!  LOL

And the close up of the embellies….those are all Artsy Urban! **swoon!**

Supplies: Pattern Paper – GCDStudios (Melody Ross – Artsy Urban,) Chipboard – Maya Road, Glimmer Mist – Tattered Angels, Stickers – Pink Paislee, Buttons – GCDStudios (Melody Ross- Artsy Urban,) Pin – Heidi Grace, Ink – Clearsnap (colorbox chalk ink) Felt die – GCDStudios (Melody Ross – Artsy urban,) Felt – misc

On this baby card, I created my own flower and used the scallop Artsy Urban embellishment that is like a faux suede. Then I cut my own scallop out felt. Not as clean and crisp as an embossed die template but more messy and perfect for a ‘handmade’ baby card. Then I used my Tattered Angels glimmer mist on some raw Maya Road chipboard to match up the letters.

Did you notice on the first card that I posted here, I also used the just newly released Spellbinders™ S7-018 Big Scalloped Border Grand? Doesn’t it look great on a card? So versatile! The Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Surprise Party is still happening and there are still opportunities to win some of these new die templates from Spellbinders™.

AND, there is still time to enter the huge GIVE-AWAY that I have going on in the previous post. You can read about here.

Have a fabulous day my friends!

GIVE-AWAY and Spellbinders™ Pendant Card

0809 JO cd congrats 72

Supplies: Spellbinders™ S4-204 Fleur De Lis Pendants; S4-213 Fleur De Lis Borderabilities®Hero Arts, Sentiments Stamp; SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L, 3D Foam Squares, SEI Pattern Paper and Cardstock.

This is a card that I used with the most elegant die template that I have ever seen. You can’t tell from the photo but I layered it with pop dots which gives it so much dimension!

Well, January is here and I have been on a mission to clean out my sraproom…..lucky for my blog readers, I’m getting rid of lots of stuff! This GIVE-AWAY is going to include much more than what is in the photo, I just wanted to get it posted. So, as a sort through my stuff, this pile will continue to get bigger! Right now, the 4 new things included are 2 new packages of THICKERS, a Kimberly Polson border sticker set and the ever so popluar Melody Ross Artsy Urban butterfly stickers from GCDStudios. Everything else could be ‘gently’ used which means it may be missing one or two stickers, or a couple of alphies. Most things are nearly complete sets. Then of course, there will be lots of pattern paper which I have a harder time parting with ; ) but I know I have to get rid of much more than what is in this photo. Some things included so far are: Tim Holtz grunge board, Remarks and Basic Grey Rub-ons, Technique Tuesday tiles, lots of ribbon, flowers and buttons, Maya Road flower chipboard and much more!

So Many Blessings

Supplies: Spellbinders™ S4-205 Eyelets Pendant; S4-214 Eyelets Borderabilities®; S4-134 Classic Paisley; S4-135 Classic Scalloped Paisley #2; S5-019 Labels Eight,SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L, 3D Foam Squares and Adhesive Sheets; Creative Impressions, Bits of Bling; Fancy Pants, Delight Buttons; ClearSnap, Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink and Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink; Crafty Secrets, Radiant Heartwarming Vintage

Looking back on 2009, I am just in awe of how very blessed I am. The Lord has truly poured out His goodness on us and it just brings me to my knees in thanksgiving and gratefulness. This project I created for Spellbinders™ shows off the sweetest blessings in my life. We had such a fantastic Christmas vacation, spending some relaxed time with my brother from Canada and his family. It always makes me a little sad to see them go back to school. I will be following them there this week and next though. That's the great thing about subbing!

So, I've been spending some time in my scrap room thinking about how I will be reorganizing it (isn't that what we do in January??) My sweet dh was even giving me some ideas just yesterday. Then, today I got the best phone call with some excellent news!!!

Check it out HERE!!!

Oh ya...I'm pretty thrilled and in desperate need of some Simply Renee products to help get me started on 2010! Just one more blessing to add to my very long list.

And because I am on this purge/clean kick, I feel a huge RAK comin' on! I will be filling up a box of stuff that I will no longer be needing. Although it won't be new, there will be lots of things with just a few pieces missing. After I get through cleaning my room, I will be sure to post more info about the GIVE-AWAY! I'm guessing some time this weekend or next week.

This Thursday, I will be revealing the very first Spellbinders™ die template that is a new release. I can't WAIT to share what I created!!

Have a fabulous day!!
