Easter Family photo

It started pouring rain so I wasn’t able to get any photos of the kids with their baskets and it was a little crazy trying to do an Easter egg hunt without a living room.  LOL  I actually couldn’t even find a spot to do photos inside.  So, we went out into all the construction to see if we could find a good spot by the new windows.  There was so much construction ‘stuff’ everywhere.  So, I climbed up the ladder and took these photos.  I like how they turned out because the basket is blurred but it’s still in the photo.

Happy Easter!!

He is Risen!!

happy Easter

I wanted to write a quick post to wish all my blog friends a Happy Easter!  I shared this card on the Spellbinders blog today and gave a tutorial on how use a Reverse Stenciling Negative.  It’s a pretty neat technique!  My huge goodie box of all our generous cross promotional companies came on Thursday and I dove right into it and found this gorgeous Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime paper and this ScrappingStamping stamp.  They fit so well, I had to add them on my card.

Easter is a time of blessing.  It’s a time to bless others for sure.  I feel right now that I am being blessed ever time I turn around.  It’s overwhelming and I want so to return that to those around me.  I created these candy tubes last week for another Spellbinders post.  The kids will be taking them to their Sunday school teachers tomorrow.  Just a little something to let them know we appreciate them!

But the biggest blessing of all is knowing that we have a Risen Savior who loves us know matter what.  Unconditional love.  And on this weekend, when I reflect on what He has done for me, it drives me to my knees in adoration.  There is no greater love story.  In the end, all I want to do is pour out my love back to Him!  There is just something about trusting in someone that you know has your best interest in mind and that will never let you down. And oh, how I cannot wait until that day we meet face to face!!  This song depicts it so well and it gets me so jazzed about when that day comes!  I love it when we sing this at our church…all songs really.  It’s loud, rockin’ and very exciting.  A little taste of heaven.  Crank up the volume!

Hope and pray that you are able to spend some time with family and friends on this Easter Sunday.

Blessings on you and yours!

I’m absolutely ecstatic about our addition and my new room!  We’ve been picking out paint, fixtures, carpet and many more exciting things!  For this week, the crafting has been put on hault but I will be back into the swing of things soon.  Actually, I’m expecting an enormous box of Cross Promo products that I will be getting to use for my Spellbinder’s projects.  That will make me want to get creating like crazy!

It’s been interesting having no living room and not much dining room.  Everyone hangs in our room most the time.  LOL  We have heat in here.  he he….

Thanks for swinging by and not giving up on me!

Spring Card for Upcoming Class

Happy M day

Hi friends!  I am so excited for today.  We have SUN!!!  It was supposed to rain so I’m completely ecstatic right now.  It’s the first day to really feel like Spring!  This will be a quick post.  ; )

This Saturday I am teaching a class at Paper Mermaids and I wanted to share one of the cards we will be making out of Melissa Frances paper, Prima Trim, Graphic 45 Chipboard buttons and Spellbinder Die templates.  I have designed it so that you can write what ever sentiment suites you on the pocket tag.

It’s barely ‘feeling’ like Spring around here so I am doing what I can do brighten things up a bit!  This card that I created for the Spellbinders Blog puts me right in the mood for some Spring sunshine with it’s bright colors and bold Wonky Rectangle shape!  If you want to check out how to make a fine embossed edge on several pieces of paper, you can read a tutorial on the Spellbinder’s Blog.

I am so excited to be teaching a Nestabilities card class at Paper Mermaids this Saturday.  If any of you locals are thinking of coming, I would love to see you there!  Sign ups are happening now  if you want a spot held.

Here is a sneak peak of one of the cards we will be doing.
