Festive Candy Basket

Festive Hexagon Basket
This is a very quick and easy but fun and practical candy basket that could be used for all seasons.  I have instructions and supply list up on the Spellbinders Blog today. If you can believe it, I used the Spellbinders Hexagon Petal Envelope die template to create it!

Sweet tooth anyone?  Yum!
I’m lovin’ the fall weather we are having on the coast! I had a fantastic lil’ photo shoot with my daughter on the beach and I did my first maternity shoot with a sweet family too! I can’t wait to finish editing the photos.
I have to share just a few of my sweetie.  You know that I am practicing self-control by not posting them all!

30 Second Card

It’s hard to believe I know, but it’s for real!  I made this card in 30 seconds!  Do you keep your scraps and die cuts that you end up not using?  I have a drawer full of them.  I just toss what ever pieces I ended up not using into it.  My drawer was getting a little full!

grateful

I was getting some cards packaged up and ready to drop off at a local shop where I sell my cards when I decided I would quickly put some extra cards together using ‘leftovers.’  For this card, all of these die cuts and paper where already sitting on craft table (along with many others!)  Even the card base was cut out and inked already!  Some of these shapes I cut out two years ago.  Yikes!  The great thing about Spellbinders die templates is you can layer and layer them to make a quick, great card!

Not a lot of design thought went into this card but it works!  I would encourage you to keep all the little die cuts that you cut out and decide not to use.  They may just come in handy some day!

Sometimes use extra die templates for tags on my kids’ lunches or for quick notes that I write them and put in their lunch bag.  They are certainly always good to have on hand!
I’m so Grateful For YOu!

Making A Difference

Hey everyone!  Guess what?  I have been waiting a very long time to post about this layout and now I finally can!
Northridge Media published it in their September issue of Scrapbook Trends.

Haiti layout

This might have been one of my very favorite layouts I have ever put together.  I used Jillbean Soup cardstock, Basic Grey Curio and Theresa Collins pattern paper, American Crafts Thickers and October Afternoon alphabet stickers, Webster’s Pages Sparkler and a BUNCH of Spellbindersdie templates!  The list includes:  Grand Big Scalloped Circles, Fancy Tags Three, Rose Creations, Floral Doily Accents, Fleur de Lis Doily Motifs, Nested Pennants, Nested Lacey Pennants, Labels Nineteen.
Guess what else?  There’s another give-away on the Spellbinders Blog today!  You have until Friday night to comment for a chance to win an Edgeabilities die template set.  There is also a big announcement to look for tomorrow!

When I first saw this Blossom Stackers stamp set at CHA, I just knew that it was one I wanted to own so I could match it up with my Spellbinders Blossom Tags and Accents die templates.  There are endless possibilities with this set and it would be especially great for scrapbook pages!

After stamping the image on pattern paper and cutting it out with Blossom Tags and Accents, I used a glue adhesive pen to add glitter around some of the borders.  Then I stacked them and added them to my card.

Good morning!  How has your week been?  We were out of town for a Fall Conference that turned out to be just amazing!  It’s good to be home and it didn’t take long for me to craft up a huge paper mess in my scrap room.  More on that later…..*wink*

I have great news about a FANTASTIC give-away but first I am excited to share a tag that I’ve been waiting to post for awhile.

Happy World Card Making Day!!

Happy World Card Making Day!!!

Thank-You copy

I’m so honored that Scrapbooking and Cards Today Magazine is featuring one of my cards on their blog in celebration of this crafting event!  You can read about it on their blog.

The card I am sharing today is a simple but sweet card that I did a while back.  I still love this Crate Paper pattern paper.  I taped the two pieces together and then at the same time cut/embossed them out with the SpellbindersGrand Large Labels.  I inked the sides tied a bow around the seam, added some trim, stamped on the bottom,  and adhered it to my card base.  Phew!  All in under 15 minutes.  There’s classy and quick for ya!

There won’t be much crafting for me today.  We have a four soccer games and a cross country meet out of town.   I love it.  We will regroup tomorrow.  *wink*

In celebration of World Card Making Day I wanted to have a little give-away. This is a collection of Graphic 45 Wizard of Oz papers.  I have also included a Kimberly Poloson stamp set.  I will randomly select a winner from the comments on this post next Friday at midnight EST.
