Layers of Color Card

Happy-Mother's-Day

Mother’s Day may seem in the far off distance (especially to those of you who are getting snow right now!)  But, it’s actually just around the corner.  I always try to get my cards done early because every year, it seems to come so quickly.

I have really enjoyed creating projects for Layer’s of Color this month!  It’s been an honor to design for them as their guest for March.  On this particular card, the Happy Wishes Clear stamp set that I used to create my sentiment is one of the most gorgeous fonts I’ve ever seen in a stamp!  I know that I will be using it a lot!  Above the sentiment is this striking Floweret stamp that is the perfect touch on any card!  I stamped both on a Spellbinders™ S5- 026 Labels Twenty die template.

After sewing on the pattern paper to the card base, I inked a doily and cut in, spreading it across the card as I adhered.  I then layered several pieces of Girl’s Paperie and Collage Press pattern paper over the doily.  Before securing it into place.  I slipped a S5-040 Floral Doily Accent border under the bottom so just a peek of it is showing.  I also slipped a ribbon through the top layer and tied a bow.  I embellished it with a Webster’s Pages sparkler.  My last step was adhering the stamped Label that I had so much fun coloring with my Copic markers!  For more inspiration with this beautiful stamps, you can visit the Layers of Colors Blog where the designers have come up with some amazing projects!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit today!

Julie The card is beautiful. WHat is you that did the Spellbinder project today? If so what is the Post it paper? I like this idea for the label and glitter.
