Back to School! Already?

Well, the girls are in a new school this year.  New friends, new neighborhood, new teachers....They are such troopers!  They seem to be doing well for the first few days.  It's so hard to see them off.

Of course, you gotta love the first day of school photos.  I think my kiddos might be getting to an age where they actually don't quite enjoy these anymore!  Good thing they still like ice cream...hee hee.

And...of course the shoe shot.

And next, I have a sweet, innocent layout to show you that I created using the photo from last year's first day of school because yes, I am that behind!  But, at least they are getting scrapped!

Technically she was in 'second grade,' not 'grade two!'  But, ya know, we are working through all the American/Canadian kinks.  LOL  Sure can't believe how fast my kiddos are growing up.  I feel like I say that in every post but it's so true.  The fast forward buttons seems to be stuck!

I actually created this layout for GCDStudios ezine called The Paper Cut.  You can find all kinds of fun back to school inspiration in it.

Our store, Memories and More, got in all the new Spellbinders die templates and M-Bossibilities plates today.  Soooooo much fun!  I love being at store that stocks such gems and this fabulous GCDStudios paper line too (Country Charm and Oh Happy Day!)

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope your Day is Happy!

Sand Dude!

It's HOT outside!  No better place to hit than the beach!  For as long as I can remember, the moment my son hits the beach he dives into the sand to begin building a castle.  In this layout, I included some sand to help capture his ‘true love’ for the beach.

I had fun embellishing this layout with lots of different things.  To begin with I used several pieces of pattern paper to create the banner.

I decided to add the sand under the title so I used a Spellbinders die to cut out a wave.

I ripped some a soowang tape sheet and folded it half back and placed the wave over half the sticky area.

Next I dumped the sand that I had collected over the sticky part and pressed it down.  You can buy scrapbooking sand or you can be sentimental and use the real thing! Next I pulled out the rest of the backing of the tape, added some pattern paper and trimmed it down to fit on my layout.

I also used Spellbinders Nautical shapes too accent my page.  Using them as a stencil, I left the paper in the die and adding some liquid adhesive and then poured on more sand.

I was excited to find this trim in my stash of stuff.  It already had shells hanging off of it.  The perfect touch!

Creating Keepsakes has Hit the Stands!

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited that this issue of Creating Keepsakes is being released today!  I have a sweet layout of the most darling baby in it.  If you get a chance,
check it out!  I can't wait to share the layout.

\

I also have a card to share that was in the last release of Card Creations Vol. 10 by Paper Crafts.  I have two other cards in there as well.  It's a great issue jammed with fabulous inspiration!!  It came out a few months ago but I haven't had a chance to share.  I used JustRite Stampers for the sentiment and My Mind's Eye for the pattern paper.  Of course the circles in the middle are Spellbinders!

Have a super sunny summer day full of lots of fabulousness!

I created this cool keepsake jar for the magazine using the Flower Child line.  The label was created with Page Maps Spellbinders dies called Jar Labels.

Spread Your Wings And Fly

Hey everyone!  I hope you've been enjoying the summer so far!  As you can tell from this layout, we sure are!  Actually, this is a photo from last summer.  I can't believe how quick my girl is growing!

This is a layout that I created for GCD Studios using the Oh Happy Day line.  It's so fresh and summery.  I love that line!  I fussy cut the cute clouds right out of the paper.

I also have a simple yet sweet card to show you that I made with the new Scalloped Labels One die from Spellbinders.  I made a cute shaker window to display these adorable buttons!

The summer has totally gotten the best of me.  I just can't get outside enough.  I LOVE where I live and I want to be outside every minute of every day!  Of course, I try to squeeze in my crafty time late at night!

Enjoy your first week of August!!

New Spellbinders Die Templates!!

CHA has begun!!

This is always such an exciting time in the crafting industry and although I am not attending this year, I have felt the excitement and anticipation all the same! If you are wanting to get a first look at the new Spellbinders Die Templates, there is a live video that will pull you right into all the excitement!  And I love it because I can start sharing some of the things I've made with the new product!  There are so many great new ones.  I simply have to have at least 10 favorites.

This is a card that I made with the new Blossoms Five die template.  It was completely inspired by the reveal that Linda Duke did.  After cutting out several sizes of the flower, I inked the edges, shaped them, glued them together and then added glitter.  I also used the new Venetian Accents die template to create the back drop for my sentiment which is stamped on a Classic Oval.  The paper is all GCD Studios Donna Salazar Line and the pearls are from Want2Scrap.

OkeeDokee....do tell!  I want to hear all about what everyone's favorite CHA product reveal is so far.  I haven't had as much time to look on line at all the peeks this year so I'd love to hear your opinion!

Uber Sweetness!

Seriously, if you are reading this right now, just know that I think you're amazing!  The holiday and the awesome weather have turned me into a bad blogger!!  LOL

BUT wait!  I have this super cute layout to share with you today!  Slap that cute puppy on any layout and it'll look Uber Sweet!!  I designed this layout for GCD Studios.  Most of the paper is from the Splendor line.  I can't keep my hands off that line!  I all of their lines but this one just screams 'me.'  The dies that I used are the Spellbinders Lattice Motifs (top right corner) and the roses are from the Spellbinders Floral Tags set.  I also used the Jar Labels die template to frame my title.

Have you seen the new July issue of Paper Cuts yet?  It's oozing with inspiration so check it out if you get a chance!

We've finally had a few hot days here and I have now entered heat heaven!!!  Every night I am amazed at how warm and gorgeous it is out!  I hope sticks around.

This is also always a time where I have lots of projects that I can't share because it's with product that hasn't been revealed.  Next week is CHA though and hopefully I'll be able to share a bit more often.  Thanks for not giving up on me!  You guys are the best!
