Believe

I had so much fun making this very pink Rusty Pickle album about my lil sweet pea who I seriously BELIEVE is going to grow up so happy in life. She is just my giggle monster girl. Always, always having fun and always, always cracking people up! I think her favorite thing besides laughing is dressing up like a princess and dancing like a ballernia!

Basic Grey's Mellow

This paper is so lush. I'm just loving it. Here is one of my favorite photos and a layout that I created with this yummy paper. So, the cool thing about this 'Mellow' line is that there is chipboard that you can get to go with it. These flowers and the the branch are all chipboard. I was sitting there trying to decided how to alter it (paint/pattern paper/ ink ect)when suddenly my 6 yr. old dd pointed out that the diecuts that I had laying on the table actually matched the shapes! VIOLA!! Just glue them on top and then you are done. Eesy peesy and making making life oh so happy. Thank you Basic Grey!
I also made a card because I was having so much fun with it! I added a little embroidery thread for an extra touch of color. The flowers are cut right from the pattern paper!
If you are looking for a place on line to purchase this paper, head on over to 2scd. If you are wanting a local store in the Northwest, try Craftwarehouse!

My Surprise Party

Soooooooo cute. Nope, it's not my birthday but my darling lil' 3 yr. old daughter Kelsey, made me a surprise birthday party all on her own. I was busy doing my thing and she kept asking me for paper. She wrapped all my hand made presents in paper towl (wrapping paper) and then put out the cake (bowl of m&m's.) Then she invited all her imaginary friends over. She held me my hand and guided me into the living room where my gifts and cake were waiting. We opened presents, ate our cake, sang songs and danced to music. It was the BEST surprise birthday EVAH!!

Shocking but FABulous Fiskars News!!!

So, just out of no where I get this phone call being invited to an all expense paid trip to San Antonio where myself and many other chosen ones will be scrappin our hearts out for a weekend at the Marriot Riverwalk. Hello??? Am I dreaming??? It gets better. The email from Fiskars headquarters (who approached me and who is hosting this) says to bring an extra suitcase!!! I'M SO THERE!! Fiskars never ceases to amaze me. They come out with fantastic product but it's really important to them that their customers know and understand the product. So, while we are soaking up the Heidi Grace (literally) and Cloud 9, we will be learning some tricks of the trade as well. All the good fun is happening on Nov. 2, only a few short weeks away! I can't wait to post all about it when I get back.

It's been a bit of a slow week as far as mojo goes. Haven't got a lot done. I did finish a few cards in honor of National Card Making Day. yup.. that's right. NCMD!!! What will they think of next. Here are a few of the cards I finished.

Transparency Albums

I have had so much fun discoverin this new technique. I always knew that you could stamp on transparenies with the STAZ-ON ink but I only had white and I wanted to create something more colorful. So, I decided to just try the other ink pads that I had on hand. How fun was that!!!! I have all these fun Fancy Pants and Autumn Leaves stamps that make the coolest designs. I had a blast creating these pages. It was like designing your own paper!!
The first transparency album that I desiged last week was all about ASHLEY'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN. It was actually just her orientation day when she met her teacher and saw her classroom with one other student. So, I made a little book out of regular transparencies so that we could remember that day and her experience. I thought instead of sharing the pictures as promised. I would just share the album I made!

Ashley really loves her new teacher, Mrs. Medici. The other student that came to orientation at the same time was a little gal off her t-ball team so she knew her a bit already. That was neat for Ashley.

They did there first worsheet when they were there. They drew a picture of themselves so the teacher would remembe who they all were when the entire class came at the same time! Then, she read the two of then the 'Kissing Hand.' Ashley was thrilled because she studied racoons in pre-K and did a report on them. So, she thought that was pretty cool! Over all, it was a very good first day... well... hour and a half!!!
