Gorgeous Lace Hearts

Hi friends!  I hope your week is going well.  I'm excited to let you know that today I am Guest Designer over on the Spellbinders Blog.  One of the dies I am highlighting is this gorgeous Lace Hearts.  I love it because there are actually several pieces to the set and they are all interchangeable so you can get a different look over and over again.  This combination is my favorite because it looks so much like a doily to me!

Supplies: Die - Spellbinders S5-204; Stamp - JustRite - Hugs and Kisses Sentiments; Pearls - KaiserCrafts; Cardstock - Bazzill; Pattern Paper - Authentique Flourish (Cheer); Lace - Jolee's

I was working at our lss today and I realized that I hadn't yet made a store sample with this beautiful die so I made one on the spot.  Three customers who just saw it action decided they needed to snatch it up!

To create the blue heart background, I just traced around the Heart 1 inset and cut it out by hand.  Then I glued it behind the white heart.  I didn't have many other dies on hand so I just stamped my sentiment and hand cut a banner.  The line of paper from Authentique was another source of inspiration for me.  I love all the rich colored roses.  I love roses period!  But there is something about pink and teal together.  I also really love red and teal together for Valentine's day.  hmmmmm......Okay...so anyway, a bit of lace and pearls is all you need to finish off this Valentine's Day card!

Hope you've been inspired!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

CHA Recap *Inspiration Overload!*

Hi there!  I'm trying to get back into the swing of things after returning home from CHA.  I did want to a post about all the amazing things that I saw and experienced there.  It was SO MUCH FUN!

I took a few photos of some of the manufacturers that I love.  I was really wishing I had my Canon and a lot of the photos didn't turn up so well on my phone.

This first group of photos is from the Freckled Fawn booth.  They had such cute embellishments including some totally fabulous word and arrow paper clips.  I think the wooden embellies and frames were my absolute favorite!  It totally made me want to get into doing some layouts again.  Feels like forever since I did a scrapbook page!

Jillibean Soup also had some fabulous new and different embellishments.  They were trinkets set inside a wooden frame.  They were called Wood Sprinkles.  So fun!

Along with wood embellishments, Washi tape continues to be all the rage and there was no shortage of new designs at CHA.  Love this inspiring display!

Studio Calico had some uber fun and trendy elements that I can't wait to get my hands on!

Graphic 45 had a knock out display of their new paper lines.  They were all amazing but I'm sure it comes as no surprise that this one with the roses was my favorite!

There were a few make and takes that I was able to do.  This is a cute one that I created for my daughter.  It's a little chalkboard on a wooden plaque.  And a cute lil' hook for 'important shtuff!'

This is a photo of me with Maggie Holmes!  She has probably been my biggest inspiration in my Paper Crafting and photography journeys.  Her classes are amazing and her designs are truly inspiring!  Then she started designing paper lines for Crate Paper.  Match made in heaven.  Love!

But wait...there's more!  It was a walk down celebrity lane!  I couldn't believe that Rupert from Survivor was there to help me create a Tie Dye shirt!  It was hilarious to hear him talk about the show as we worked on it together.  You never know who will be at CHA!  Vana White was there too.

The Lion Brand booth was doing a fashion show with the projects they had created out of yarn.  Vana was hosting it.  This is a shot of an entire wedding dress made from yarn.  So colorful!

Here is sweet Heidi in her booth with her new company that she started ChickanIddy.  Super cute stuff let me tell you!  Her lines that she has created are very fresh and fun (as you can tell from her booth!)

Of course my favorite spot to hang was the Spellbinders booth and I do have a few more shots of that because the other pictures I posted were not close ups. Here are some closer peeks to some of the fun projects that many different designers contributed to.

On the Mixed Media side:

From the Gilded Life side:

And this lil' beauty was my most favorite make and take of all.  It's all Spellbinders product from the Gilded Life line.  Such a gorgeous pendant!  I love how when you sand the bezel, a rose color shines through.  Nice!

Here is a peek into the cubbies of the 'Craft Room' side.

My favorite part of this entire adventure has been bonding and working with this amazing team and the entire Spellbinders family to see this all come together.  It's been so fantastic to have people like Richard and Stacey believe in me and to allow me to have such an incredible experience!

Stacey was so sweet.  She even blessed us with this gorgeous Brighton bracelet.  That was so special and meant so very much.

Thank you Stacey!!

And Richard had this enormous Thank You poster displayed in the booth to show his appreciation.  I was stunned!

If you are still with me at this point, thank you for walking through this post/adventure with me!  I actually held back on posting quite a few photos.  Didn't want to totally overwhelm you!  I do have a few other events to blog about over the next week or so.  And of course, I have lots of projects with new dies to share as well.

Blessings on your day!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey everyone!  I'm still at CHA but I am very anxious to share some projects that I've created using some of the new Spellbinder's dies.  Here is a quick CAS card using the new Spellbinders 5x7 Modern Stationary die and JustRite's All Boy stamp set.  I love the fun, trendy shape to this new die.  It frames image perfectly!  If you haven't seen the full release of new dies yet, check out the Spellbinders website.  They are fantastic!

When I return home, I'll be posting more photos about the show, more projects and a give-away!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Spellbinders fabulous CHA Mega Show Booth

I can't believe CHA Mega show 2014 is actually here and I can FINALLY give you a little peek at the absolute gorgeousness that is already drawing lots of people in!  One of the first things that took my breath away was the ginormous spinning sign above our area.  This is a photo of them putting it in place.

All the had work has definitely paid off and I'm certain that Spellbinders booth is going to be the buzz of the show!  I don't have time to edit or make pretty but I wanted to quickly share with my blog
readers.  And I think the photos are quite beautiful on their own!

This one side of the booth is the Mixed Media side.  It was so exciting to see it all come together!

The first collage in my post is the Gilded Life line as well as all these amazing projects!

This is the yummy candy bar.  Delicious!

This is the craft room side of the booth.  It's so fun and very inspiring!

I have many more photos to share.  This is just a quick post to give a peek to those who've been waiting to see!  I'm wishing I brought my Canon to get better shots.  Thank goodness for cell phones!

It has been such an honor working on creating the booth with the Design Crew and watching Richard's vision come to life.  Thank you so much Spellbinders, for this opportunity of a life time!

Spellbinders new Valiant Honor Die!

Yesterday one of my favorite dies of this new line was released.  I did an entire ensemble with it but it has been shipped off for publication so it'll have to wait.  I wanted to share a project with my blog readers.  This card was inspired by the fabulous Becca who never ceases to amaze me!

The new Spellbinders die is called A2 Valiant Honor.  It's a beauty!  The stamp is from JustRite and the paper is a Valentine line from Bella Blvd.

I'm off to catch a plane but there is so much more inspiration from the Spellbinder's Designers.  Check out the blog each day to see what's new!

I Am Elated!!

I can hardly contain my excitement!  I'm truly not sure how to explain why I'm so elated.  In December, I had every intention of doing a post about my trip to Phoenix but you all know how the month of December can fly by!  Well, I had the opportunity to be apart of some major uber plans come together to build a 'mega' booth with Spellbinder's for the CHA Mega show.  Here are the four of us designers who were blessed to be apart of this Design Crew for the show.  Honestly you will have the same reaction when you see how amazing this space comes together!  I don't even know what to call it...it's definitely not just a booth!  We had so much fun creating together and I will show some of those pictures when it's all been revealed.  It's still 'top secret!'

My excitement comes for many reasons.  For one, I get to CHA!!!!  I can't wait.  Seriously will not be able to sleep tonight.  It will be another week with these gals, preparing and setting up for the show.  Then I will get to meet up with so many of my friends from the crafting community that I haven't see for a few years.  Yay!  And of course, a peek at all the new goodies coming out!

As if that wasn't enough, I'm going to also get to spend a few extra days in Anaheim with some dear friends that I went to college with and spent some years in ministry with.  I'm actually weepy thinking about. These  friends are like family and so dear to my heart.  There are no words.

Okay, enough sap.  Guess what?????  Spellbinder's sneak peek started TODAY!! They are having a Diamond Anniversary Celebration with tons of inspiration and of course prizes to be won.   Another reason I am all jazzed is because I have so many projects that I haven't been able to share because they are all using the new, yet to be revealed, dies.  I am SO anxious to share.  The new dies are fabulous!

I do have a card to share.  It's a simple quick card but I couldn't post a winner without a project.  LOL  So, here is a quick CAS card using Spellbinders A2 Curved Border's One die and JustRite 'All Boy' Stamp Set.

As the reveals continue, I will be able to post more projects so stay tuned for inspiration with new dies!  Also, I'm hoping to post from the CHA show with updates and photos.

Okay, I said I'd pick a winner on Jan. 6th.  Technically, it's still the 6th here. : ) Not sure how much I'm going to sleep tonight.  I leave tomorrow!!  Eeek!

Oh yes...the winner.  It's time to reveal the winner of the Season's Givings Blog Hop!  Thank you so much for all the amazing comments you all made.  I don't think you realize how much it means to me.  It's definitely my pleasure to be sharing from my stash in appreciation of all you!

Season's Givings Blog Hop 2014

Happy New Year everyone!!  I'm so excited for 2014.  I just know in my heart it is going to be a year full of miraculous things for our family and I pray it will be for yours as well!  More about that later!  For now, I just want to thank God for walking along side another year with me.  He is so faithful no matter what and for that I am incredibly grateful.  I feel so blessed for an abundant of reasons.  I'm so thankful for my family and friends.  The world is feeling smaller and smaller as we are able to stay connected, no matter where we are living.

Last year, a few designer friends from the our paper crafting community came up with a great idea of 'pooling' some of our 'abundance' so we could give to or bless our readers.  I don't say it enough but I'm truly thrilled to know that there are some people still reading my blog because I love to inspire and share!  Your comments over the years have meant more to me than you'll ever know.  If this is your first time here, welcome!  This is a Season of Giving and I have a few things from my stash that I'd like you to have a chance of winning just by leaving a quick comment.  This is open to the US and Canada.

If you are following the hop, you should have come from the very talented Teri Anderson's blog!

  • Kaiser Craft Die Cuts
  • GCDStudios Brads
  • The Craft's Meow Stamp Set
  • Maya Road Heart Mini Album
  • Layer's of Color Rubber Stamp
  • Nikki Sivils Cord Brads
  • Want2Scrap Pearls and Bling (3 packs)
  • Crate Paper Rub-ons
  • Bazzill Brads

This is a give-away full of new products.  I will choose a winner on Jan 6th.  2014.  I'm thinking of stuffing a flat rate box of 'gently' used stuff and papers that have small portions used for my next give-away but for this one, everything is new in it's original package.

This is a quick card I made with some classic Spellbinder's die templates...circles and stars!  Just a little something to bring some festivity to this celebration and to the start of an amazing New Year!

If you are stumbling upon my blog and don't know about the hop, you are in luck!  There are actually quite a few fabulous and extremely talented designers who are a part of this hop.  Every one of them is having a give-away so there are lots of chances to win!

I'd like to give a shout out to Latisha for pulling this together for us!  You're awesome!

I'd like to sign off with a promise that I will be reflecting on a lot for 2014....

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!  I wanted to be sure to wish all my blog friends and readers a Christmas full of Love, Peace, and Joy to the fullest that was intended that very first Christmas so many years ago.  I found myself really thinking about all the different aspects of that amazing season; not just that night but many years to follow.  The incredible amount of faith that was displayed and the humility that was shown.  And it was all so that we may have a life of peace.......not a peaceful life (without any disruptions).....but a life of peace, knowing that we have been blessed with a choice.  A choice to have a personal relationship with a God who loves us enough to care about every small and big circumstance going on in our lives.  A God who loves us enough to give us that peace, even when the storms come and the waves seem unbarable.

I have been touched this Christmas with seeing the most humble form of servant hood that I've seen in a long time.  There is a member in my extended family that has humbled himself and shown the love of Christ to those around him like I've never seen before.  Without a doubt, this season has been full of miracles because of it and watching him be the extend hands of Jesus has been the most memorable holiday time that I have learned from and will cherish.  I am completely inspired to do better at putting others first before myself and to never try and do it with my own strength.  I am so blessed.  So so blessed.

My hearts prayer is that you and your family also know of this greatest gift that was ever given and that this holiday season and new year is full of His presence.

From our home to yours, Merry Christmas!!
