The cat is out of the bag and the official announcement has been made! I have been given the privilege of being GCDStudios Guest Designer for the month of January. You can read more about it on their blog here. I was so excited many months back to get the call from Heidi asking if I would accept. There was absolutely no hesitation for me. This company has come out with some of the most fabulous lines and I had the privilege with working with the first Melody Ross line called Artsy Urban. The texture and beauty of this paper is really hard to put into words. It’s soooo much better irl!

Not to mention the ever so anticipated ‘Home Spun Chic’ collection. This has got to be the most fun collection ever. The colors are brilliant and the vintage embellies are to die for.

This will be the first thing I will be scouting out at CHA!!

Here is another look at the calendar that I created. These are some of the inside pages that I didn’t have a chance to share yet.  This was super fun to create.  The numbers flip to whatever date it is and even though their are 12 photos, you can also flip it to whatever smiley face you choose for that day as well.  Easy peasy thanks to my bind-it-all!  Well…truth be told, I actually did struggle a bit trying to figure out the order.  That machine can be a bit tricky when you are out of practice!   I must start doing more mini albums!  LOL

And the close up of the embellies….those are all Artsy Urban! **swoon!**

Supplies: Pattern Paper – GCDStudios (Melody Ross – Artsy Urban,) Chipboard – Maya Road, Glimmer Mist – Tattered Angels, Stickers – Pink Paislee, Buttons – GCDStudios (Melody Ross- Artsy Urban,) Pin – Heidi Grace, Ink – Clearsnap (colorbox chalk ink) Felt die – GCDStudios (Melody Ross – Artsy urban,) Felt – misc

On this baby card, I created my own flower and used the scallop Artsy Urban embellishment that is like a faux suede. Then I cut my own scallop out felt. Not as clean and crisp as an embossed die template but more messy and perfect for a ‘handmade’ baby card. Then I used my Tattered Angels glimmer mist on some raw Maya Road chipboard to match up the letters.

Did you notice on the first card that I posted here, I also used the just newly released Spellbinders™ S7-018 Big Scalloped Border Grand? Doesn’t it look great on a card? So versatile! The Spellbinders™ Paper Arts Surprise Party is still happening and there are still opportunities to win some of these new die templates from Spellbinders™.

AND, there is still time to enter the huge GIVE-AWAY that I have going on in the previous post. You can read about here.

Have a fabulous day my friends!
