Spellbinders™ Paper Arts is hosting Spellbinders™ Surprise Party!! We will introduce 25 new Die Templates and 2 Impressabilities™ templates! These sneak peeks are part of the collection that will be released at the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show on January 24, 2010. We want to invite YOU, our greatest fans, to join the party from January 7-14, 2010! See the newest Spellbinders™ products, visit our Designers’ Blogs, and win fabulous Spellbinders™ prizes!

Supplies:

Spellbinders™ S7-018 Big Scalloped Border Grand, Spellbinders S4-189 Labels Three (#3, #4;) Cardstock: The Paper Company, Bazzill; Pattern Paper: Collage Press - Joyride (Peppermint Twist, Cheery & Bright) Scenic Route – Sonoma (Grove Street;) SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L, 3D Foam Squares; Trim: Prima Marketing, Celebrate It; Pearls: Creative Impressions; Flower: Maya Road (Trinkets;) Ink: Clearsnap – Colorbox (Chestnut Roan;) Silhouettes: Webster’s Pages; Alphabet Stickers: American Crafts (Thickers)

Instructions:

1)Cut/emboss S4-189 Labels Three #3 (with #1 being the smallest) die template out of lined pattern paper to create journaling tag. Cut a #4 size out of coordinating pattern paper and ink both. Write journaling on the smaller one and then layer them together using pop dots.

2) Starting with a 1.75" strip of cardstock, cut/emboss a S7 -018 Big Scalloped Border Grand die template.

3) Leaving the paper in the die, ink the exposed cardstock by using the die template as a stencil.

4) Ink edges of scallop with the same ink.

5) Run the edge of scissors along the scallops to distress. Then use a skinny round tool such as a paint brush to curl edges of scallop.

6) Cut and emboss a darker piece of cardstock using the Big Scallop Border Grand.

7) Glue the lighter color one on top so that there is enough of the holes showing in order to thread ribbon through it.

8) Thread ribbon through the holes (because they are overlapped it will be a smaller hole but it should be big enough to thread ribbon.

9) Cut a 9" x 9" piece of pattern paper. Distress edges and sew on top a 12" x 12" piece of Kraft cardstock.

10) Add your Big Scalloped Border Grand and journaling tag die cuts to the top of the pattern paper and complete the layout by adding photos and embellishments.

Spellbinders™ S7-018 Big Scalloped Border Grand, Spellbinders™ S4-137 Classic Scalloped Heart; Cardstock: The Paper Company (Burgundy, Cream;) Spellbinders™ Premium Craft Foil (silver/red;) Pattern Paper: Making Memories (5th Avenue) Ribbon – Misc. Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black;) Stamp: Fiskars

In order to create this look with the S7-018 Big Scalloped Border Grand die template, thread the ribbon through it and do a back stitch loop so that it is all connecting. Cut out the middle of the heart and thread it through the ribbon as well.
