Mint Motif - Cake Shoppe Too Disguised!

Supplies: Stamp: Mint Motif - Cake Shoppe Too (available exclusively at i{heart}papers.com) Squeeze Punch - Fiskars (Seal of Approval LG,) Pattern Paper - October Afternoon (Thrift Shoppe,) Ink - Ranger, Versa Magic, Ribbon - May Arts

It's my birthday today and we will be starting on our journey home. As great as this vacation has been, it's always nice to arrive back to your own home. To celebrate I wanted to have a bit of a giveaway. No photo of the RAK because I don't have access to my scraproom but I'll find something when I get back for one of my readers. You'll have until Sunday 9 pm EST to post.

I actually made this card for a Fiskars challenge. It's challenge # 11 for the online crop on the Fiskateer board that started Wednesday. This challenge was to use a stamp to create a back ground and then punch it out. I decided to get creative with my Mint Motif stamps. I used Cake Shoppe Too in a non traditional way. I stamped the background with polka dots and then used my Fiskars Seal of Approval Squeeze punch to created these flowers. I also used one of the 'cake' stamps to create the scalloped yellow boarder that's under the red October Afternoon paper. I love using products in a creative way that it wasn't intended for. What about you, have you ever tried using a product for other than what it was meant for?

Well, I'm off to pack and hit the road. I can't believe that CHA is wrapping up as well. Can't wait to see all the new products hit the shelves!

Have a blessed day!

very creative!! I've used 3-D glue dots to create glittery 3-D polka dots. A fun look!

I liked the little peek of the polk-a-dots behind the flowers and the color scheme.
