Happy Valentine's Day!!! (RAK!!)

I hope you are all having a wonderful Valentine's Day! We have spent the morning at the gym watching the kids play basketball. Love that!!
I have a big Valentine's RAK to give away. It is full of Alphabets (rub-on, cardstock and chipboard,) tags and shapes, beautiful flocked and some foil paper, stickers, raindots, brads, mirrors, flowers, and ribbon. Lots of good stuff! I would love all this to go to someone's home who would enjoy crafting with it. Leave a comment about why you love to scrapbook (paper craft,) and you'll be entired into a random drawing to win. You can click on the photo to make it bigger if you want to see a bigger image of it. This will be open for one week. Until next Saturday, Feb. 21st midnight (PST).

Have a fun weekend! And Happy Valentine's Day!

Scrapbooking has truly become my therapy. I have a very stressful job (hospice nurse) a 19 month old and the economy is starting to creep in to my little world, so scrapping is my outlet. I can go just move my supplies around and pull out a handful of pictures and I the weight of the world lifts...at least for a little while. Thanks for the supper cool blog candy!

I love to scrapbook becuase I never want to forget things that our family has done. 60 years from now I want to be able to look at my albums and remember what life was like when my children were little. Even now my children love looking at our scrapbooks and talking about when things happened. My scrapbooks also help keep my husband in the loop as to what goes on when he is not around.
Thanks for the chance!

I love scrapbooking not only because it's fun and it allows me to be creative but because it takes me back to all the wonderful moments that I have shared with my family and friends. This wonderful Valentine's Day set would really let me make great pages of the wonderful day my husband set up for me today. From giving me my gifts in bed this morning to ending the night at a super cute cupcake place.
Thanks!

my #1 reason for scrapping is to preserve the memories of our "family history" - the pages I make tell the story of each of our family members lives. I also scrap because the creative process is so fun, it's a big-time stress reliever for me, and of course when I scrap, I use up stuff and that means I will have to get something new to replace it ;-)

Ahhh. These are so pretty. I can think of so many LO's that I can make with them.

Thanks for the chance to win.

I got into scrapbooking originally to create a "Memory" album for my Mother's 70th birthday. I wanted it to contain more than photographs. From that, I think I became obsessed!! ;-) I want to leave behind a living memory of our families lives! Stories as well as photos. :-) Your blog site is lovely, and your RAK is very sweet.

Anne :-)

What an awesome RAK, julie! Gosh, there are SO many reasons why I love to scrap, but my very favorite one is the amazing feeling I get from the creative outlet. I never thought of myself as a very creative person until I found scrapbooking, and I love the art therapy it provides me! Happy V-day, julie!

How sweet of you to share!
I love Scrapbooking because I feel that I am leaving a legacy for my children and grandchildren and their children and grandchildren! I enjoy preserving my memories today for future generations!
It is a hobby but a worth while hobby!
Paper crafting such as cards and others I do for the fun of it to see someones face when you have made them a card I feel as though all the frustrations and anxiety of getting the project completed was completely worth every second!
Thanks again for the awesome chance at all of those yummy scapbooking products:)

This is a fun idea, thanks. The reason I scarpbook is to give my children a heritage and gift as they get older. I want my kids to be able to tell their kids about their lives, and to show them pictures. I want my kids to know I love them by the pages I put together.

Ohh! Such a generous RAK...thanks for the chance Julie!

Wow Julie this is great. I started to scrap almost 10 years ago. I was looking for a way to save Brad's pics and not just in a book. I went to a CM party and was hooked. I love that you can tell the story and express yourself so well with papers, stickers, etc....
I am hoping since Brad is an only child, it will help him feel more connected to his family when he is older and I am gone. I have so few pics of my mom and none of my dad. I want Brad to have it differently...

What a great RAK. It's hard to use all that pink with a boy, but I do my best. I love to paper scrap, it's usually nice relaxation for me.

Scrapbooking is my release. I have always loved pens and paper and taking photos, so this is the perfect blending of my interests. I find the whole process of creating soothing when I've had a rough day, and need to get away.

Sorry I forgot to answer the question...my kids are getting out of bed. Scrapbooking is my time to relax and remember the happy times. I love looking through my pictures, I love journeling (it's my way of keeping a journel) and I love accomplishing something. thanks for the chance.

I love to scrapbook because I think it's important to document & celebrate everyday life as well as leave something behind so that future generations can learn something about you & your life. I like to make cards because I think people truly appreciate that you took the time to make a card for them.

Wow! I love paper crafting because I love color. And paper. What better way to relax?

Scapbooking is my therapy. After a WC injury in 2005, I have found it to be theraputic. I have been scrapbooking for about 8 years. Thanks for the chance at winning a wonderful RAK. Someone is going to be happy with the win.....

WOW! That is some prize package. I love scrapbooking for two reasons. It is a fun way to tell a story without just putting the photos in a book. Second it is a great stress reliever for me. It is the only hobby I have found where I can completely shut out the world and lose myself.

PS...Love the song you have on your blog!!!

THANKS

I love to scrapbook because my grandparents were both orphans and I am trying to find out my family's history. I don't want future generations to have to do this - so I am leaving it in scrapbooks for them. Thank you for the chance to win this terrific RAK!

What a beautiful RAK!You know I have really been doing a lot of thought over this very question lately. Our "hobby" has become a phenomenon that crosses age, sex, culture, race and geographic boundaries. I know it helps me to reduce stress and love making things for other people. A light will come on as regards a specific person and I'm off and running. But I have come to believe that there is a deeper "need" in us all that our craft satisfies. We are not just preserving memories-we are preserving ourselves. We are telling this vast impersonal world and uncertain future we existed, our lives and ourselves were important-WE LIVE!

Hi Julie...welcome back BTW.

it began as a journey to give to my children their childhood memories in books and now I continue to document their lives, my life, our respective families and friends and on occassion our dog. Although the saving of our history and culture is important I love that I'm able to do that through the arts. i've learned and grown as an artist and love it. Personally, it has been enriching as a person to connect to others that for their reason love the smell of paper and ink.

I love to scrap because I enjoy it and is a mental "get away" from the stressful part of life!

I love scrapbooking for many reasons. I love that it gives me my own time and an escape from the everyday burdens. I also love knowing that I am creating something for my children and future grandchildren. Scrapbooking is such a wonderful way to share stories, show those pictures of the "younger" years and to show just how everyday life was, in general. I am by no way the best scrapper out there but to my family, I'm pretty good and that's all that matters.

Hope I see that RAK come my way. :O)
